In the News: Distracted Cops Spend Hours on Wii During Drug Bust.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Drug Task Force entered a Florida home looking for drugs and found something of greater interest, a Nintendo Wii.

The task force was caught on a security camera playing the Wii’s bowling game after only 20 minutes of entering the home. Reports say the search took nine hours and almost $4,000 dollars. Several of the task force spent hours playing the video game while some of the force searched for drugs, weapons and stolen property.

The bowlers were captured by the camera belonging to the owner of the home, a convicted drug dealer. The video of the March raid has been circulating the Internet recently and authorities aren’t pleased. Some of the officers involved could be disciplined.

One detective is even shown jumping up and down after winning some frames. Guess the idea that the Wii is addicting is true.
