The Rumor Mill: Author Pens Obama Marriage Tell-All

By: Tiffani Haynes

The old adage, “keep family business in the family,” isn’t working in the Obama household.

The New York Times best-selling author Christopher Andersen has penned “Barack and Michelle: Portrait of an American Marriage” that details explicit information about the First Family’s life and the couple’s marriage.

According to the Obamas’ publicist, Camille McDuffie, Andersen received no help from the family. Yet, without details from the Obamas, the book tells very personal stories of the marriage from questions of infidelity to political differences.

The book is slated to hit bookstores on Tuesday for $25.99. This will not be the first book about famous families for Andersen. He’s written about the Kennedys, the Clintons and Princess Diana.

The book speculates about the President’s close relationship with Vera Baker, a campaign worker, Michelle’s alleged choice to veto Hillary Clinton as a VP pick, Barack’s absentee parenting and other intimate family information.

Since the beginning buzz of the book, the Obamas have declined to comment. Is the book really an expose of the Obama family or merely a collection of rumors? It’s worth picking up a copy to see.
