Author, actor, activist Hill Harper has written his third book, The Conversation: How Black Men and Women Can Build Loving, Trusting Relationships. The book focuses on the importance of relationships and particularly, the Black one.

The New York Times Bestselling author has previous books dedicated to the younger generation: Letters to a Young Brother and Letters to a Young Sister.

The Conversation was released earlier this month and retails for $22.50 in Barnes and Noble. In the book, Harper breaks down the facets of a good relationship, stereotypes in the Black community, communication and other components of the Black relationship.

Harper speaks on panels and at venues around the country. He was also a big supporter of Barack Obama when he was a presidential candidate. Obama and Harper were classmates at Harvard Law School though Harper says that wasn’t one of the main reasons he was so pro-Obama.

He is currently starring in CBS’ CSI: New York, the television drama that has just kicked off its sixth season. Harper has a B.A. from Brown University, J.D. from Harvard Law School and Masters in Public Administration from the Kennedy School of Government.
