As expected, the NBA has suspended Washington Wizards’ guard Gilbert Arenas indefinitely.
The suspension came after Arenas allegedly brandished his firearm on fellow teammate Javaris Crittenton during a locker room dispute over a gambling debt.
Commissioner David Stern made the decision on Wednesday to sideline the three-time All-Star amongst an ongoing investigation into the altercation.
“[Arenas’] ongoing conduct has led me to conclude that he is not currently fit to take the court in an NBA game…acordingly, I am suspending Mr. Arenas indefinitely, without pay, effective immediately pending the completion of the investigation by the NBA.”
