The Limelight: Every Book

By Julian Ross

Its no secret that people often turn to hip-hop, or parody of it, when they are trying to send a message to the youth, especially to black youth. These efforts typically make you say, “WTF?” Others are enjoyable with a good message. I’m glad to come across another video that I can add into that second category. This parody of Young Money’s hit single “Every Girl” done by 2-Cent Ent. (an underground entertainment crew based in New Orleans) has some fun lyrics in front of footage from a book giveaway held at a local elementary school. Its always good to see the youth, especially the black youth, doing something positive for the community. Stay till the end for a little inspiration from Mr. Michael Eric Dyson himself.
