Earlier today, former President Bill Clinton was rushed to the hospital with complaints of chest pains. He was transported to Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan.
A statement was released on his health condition.
According to the Associated Press, “Today President Bill Clinton was admitted to the Columbia Campus of New York Presbyterian Hospital after feeling discomfort in his chest,” Douglas Band, counselor to the former president, said in a statement to the media. Following a visit to his cardiologist, he underwent a procedure to place two stents in one of his coronary arteries. President Clinton is in good spirits, and will continue to focus on the work of his foundation and Haiti’s relief and long-term recovery efforts,” the statement said.
Secretary of State and Clinton’s wife, Hillary Rodham Clinton, learned of his condition after finishing a meeting with President Barack Obama in the Oval Office. She flew to be by her husband’s side in New York.
